When browsing music folders, it's possible to navigate in the folders for a 
while, even after a song starts playing. But after a while, the path is 
forgotten and the left arrow takes you directly back to the top menu instead 
of up one level in the directory structure. It would be much better to 
remember this path to allow continued navigation.

this is probably a result of the screensaver engaging?
which screensaver is set in this case?
when you press left and get the top level, what screen is showing before you
press left?

I checked this and I have Now Playing (default?). Seems that this behaviour is 
not what most people would like...

There's another screensaver called Now Playing (Jump Back On Wake) that does what you probably want.
