Description Caleb Epstein 2005-11-01 10:26:11 UTC
My browser (Firefox 1.0.7) becomes slow to the point of unusability when I load
the Slimserver web pages with the ExBrowse3 skin using svn r4982. If I switch
to Default2, all is well.
Comment 1 Caleb Epstein 2005-11-01 11:20:07 UTC
Maybe this is the culprit (js error):

Error: postback_handler is not defined
Source File: http://localhost:9000/html/postback.js
Line: 31
Comment 2 Jacob Potter 2005-11-01 11:58:00 UTC
That's odd, postback.js hasn't been used since an old version of ExBrowse2. It doesn't exist at all in
ExBrowse3.

Try clearing out your browser cache.
Comment 3 Caleb Epstein 2005-11-01 12:18:41 UTC
Sorry, forget postback.js. That error is coming from the Default2 skin.
ExBrowse3 performance problems still persist, but there are no visible JS errors.

I believe the problem is related to having a very large (~1500 item) playlist
loaded in my player. Clearing the playlist seems to have brought browser
performance back to an acceptable level.

Note that I was not navigating this large list (of which ExBrowse3 only displays
100 elements I believe) but its very presence seems to have slowed down the web
UI immensely.

Jacob - any thoughts?
Comment 5 Chris Owens 2006-08-16 14:48:20 UTC
Hi Jacob, do you think you will have time to look at this before 6.5? Or shall we push it off?
Comment 6 Andy Grundman 2006-09-07 03:41:24 UTC
Moving Exbrowse3 bugs to 7.0.
Comment 7 KDF 2006-09-20 19:33:19 UTC
Jacob, any thoughts here?
if we can address the open bugs soon enough, we can look at this for 6.5.1.
Comment 8 KDF 2007-10-16 08:37:12 UTC
ExBrowse3 was removed from the trunk at change 13554, so this is no longer an issue.
