Description Sue Chastain 2005-10-29 11:33:31 UTC
I've deleted the cache and rescanned, but I am having a lot of problems with
duplicate album listings and even albums out of order in the alphabetical
list. No problems with the tags as far as I can tell looking at them in other
software. See the attachments for screen shots.

Albums out of alphabetcial order

The two albums by Aerosmith are sorted by artist name in the album list instead
of by the album name.

Several instances of duplicate albums

I have duplicate albums all over the place! This screen shot shows just a small
sampling.

By the way, it is the same when browsing the player UI. If you need more info
or logs, just tell me what...

Sue - can you please attach your slimserversql.db file to this bug? Zip it first to save some space.

Thanks.

Sue -

Regarding the out of order albums: they appear to have an Album Sort tag associated with them.

Regarding the duplicate albums: Could you check the contents of your playlists? I'd be interested in seeing
the playlist file that contains:

K:/MP3/__Playlists/../Chris%20Rea/2004%20-%20The%20Blue%20Jukebox/09%20Restless%20Soul.mp3

Thanks.

That is strange about the album sort. I don't know how it happened but I
cleared all tags and re-wrote them and that seems to be ok now. I'll attach
the playlist you asked for.

You can close this bug. I removed most of my playlists from SlimServer and
only added back in a few essential ones. Everything seems to be cleared up now.
