Description Nestor 2005-10-22 12:10:57 UTC
Installed and ran latest trunk (Rev 4727 at the moment).

Rescanned library and may of my artists / albums dissapeared. Found bug with
similar issue (2335). Cause seemed to be Revision 4722, so I reverted the
changes for that file in that revision: Artist count was OK again.

Then I found the album names for all my flac files were not shown, then I
reverted changes made by Revision 4721 (Description: Patch from Steinar - allow
FLAC files with embedded cue sheets to have an AGE attribute), rescanned , and
everything is fine again.

Somehow the code for the AGE tag (it fixed an issue I was having too) breaks
something about the album names in the FLAC tags.

Revision 4721 works perfectly for me.
My libarary consists of flacs with embedded cue sheets and tags in the numbered
vorbis comments format.

I don't understand how adding the AGE tag can affect the other tags.

Try to stop slimserver, delete the server/Cache/slimserversql.db file, and
restart slimserver. When you restart the server, the database file will be
regenerated.

Hi Steinar!

Im now going back to some previous Revision, to be able to test where the
problem is introduced for me.
Reverting your fixes modified things for me , but later I found other
anomalies, so it can be as you said. I will go back to 4667 , the one Im sure
was working OK for me in this regard, and then will move slowly ahead.
Will let you know what I find.

Regards!

Hi Steinar,

I stand corrected. Retried from lower revision versions up until 4721, and its
working great, including your fix. I must have done something wrong while going
from 4727 to 4720, I've just installed SVN today, so Im still learning how to
use it.
My library also consists of flac files with embedded cuesheets and tags in the
vorbis comments, so both libraries should hit roughly the same bugs along the
way.
Thanks!
