Description Philip Meyer 2005-10-06 23:43:18 UTC
This applies to Player UI and Web UI.

The player alarm clock settings currently allow alarms to be configured
for "Every Day" or individual days.

It would be nice if two more alarms could be configured: "All weekdays"
and "Weekends".

That way, if I only want an alarm to happen every working day (monday-friday),
I only need to set the alarm once, rather than 5 times - less chance of
getting one of the days configured incorrectly!

If "Every Day", "All Weekdays" and "Monday" alarms are all configured, should
they all be honoured, or would one alarm override the others? Perhaps the
alarms should be heirarchical?

Try Kevin's advanced alarm plugin: http://callisto.deane-freeman.com/slimserver/

Been there, done that...

It's a good plugin. However, the standard alarm generally fits my needs
better. The Advanced alarm plugin stops playing music when remote buttons are
pressed, but I just want music to kick in at the alarm time and stop when I
press stop or power-off, rather than stop when trying to view current playing
song info, etc.

The standard alarm is now much better than it used to be, it's just missing a
way of configuring weekdays, IMO.

Does everyone have the same weekdays? I can imagine Mon-Fri and Sat-Sun not being appropriate for some people. This could be locale specific, but it also depends on people's work patterns.

This bug has been fixed in a private branch of Squeezecenter. I'm assigning this to myself as a reminder to re-test after the branch has been merged back in.

This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
