i've been getting numerous calls where people have playlists within their music
folder that causes thousands of duplicate entries for each song referenced
within the playlist.

would it be possible to just not parse playlists when scanning the music folder?

This is already fixed in 6.2

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006.  I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
