Description Will Irace 2005-10-01 12:45:55 UTC
We lost the "Home" link in the fishbone skin between 2005-09-30 and 2005-10-01.
This means (among other things) there's no way to change to another skin once
you've picked Fishbone. But heck why would we want to anyway?
Comment 1 Will Irace 2005-10-01 12:56:49 UTC
One other thing: I can't "Browse Music Folder" with today's build either.
Comment 2 KDF 2005-10-01 13:45:36 UTC
that is deliberate.
the server settings are now located in the pulldown menu at the bottom. the
home link is replaced with the last selected browse mode from the pulldown.

why can't you browse music folder??

See screenshot. The pull down is missing:

 - Browse Music Folder
 - Player Settings
 - Server Settings

I see the appeal of placing all options in that pulldown, but I still miss a
"Home" button, even if the Pulldown has all the stuff.

pageheader fix

The "Browse Artists" link you see in the top line IS the home button. it
changes to the current selection in name only, same action as it always did
before.

I've poste a fixed version of pageheader.html to give you the settings. Just
download it from here and save over the current Fishbone/pageheader.html

if you use the default skin,
http://scratchy:9000/Default/

do you see the browse music folder link there? it should show up in both ONLY
if you have a music folder defined in server settings. otherwise, it will not
be there.
Comment 6 Will Irace 2005-10-01 21:52:49 UTC
OK, I forgot to set my music folder. I wonder how it knew where my music is
before I fixed it?

Now I get it. The idea is you go into "New music", browse around, get lost,
then click on "new music" at the top to return to the home "new music" screen.
To change to another browsing mode, pick it from the pulldown. Now that I
understand it I like it.

The pageheader.html you attached fixed my lack of access to server settings.
Will this go into a future build?

This team rocks. I hope I'm not submitting too many bugs--lately everything I
submit gets resolved or fixed within a day. w00t!

The music is stored in a database and can be imported from itunes, so you would have the music there
is you had the music folder blank. The pageheader will be fixed for tomorrow's build (set to run in
about 2 hours). I've changed the 'home' link a bit. It will now say home, but when you move the mouse
over the link, it shows the page that it will load. I think this will be less confusing initially and still offer
the same overall effect.

marking as closed. changes in effect at change 4505, oct 2 build.

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
