Description Max Spicer 2005-10-01 10:20:58 UTC
If I change the genre information in my flac files, the only way I can get the
server to notice and/or delete the old genre information is to clear everything
and do a rescan. This shouldn't be necessary.

Fixed in subversion change 4610.
Comment 2 Max Spicer 2005-10-14 00:58:39 UTC
Will this fix also remove deleted genres from the database?
Comment 3 Dan Sully 2005-10-14 01:02:36 UTC
Not automatically - I encountered some issues with that. A rescan will though.
Comment 4 Max Spicer 2005-10-14 01:05:04 UTC
Shouldn't you be in bed? Do you mean a full clear and rescan? If so, I think
this bug should really be left open.
Comment 5 Dan Sully 2005-10-14 01:07:35 UTC
Yes, that's what my girlfriend tells me at any rate. :)

No - just a regular rescan. That's the only way to trigger a $ds->cleanupStaleEntries call.

Most of the time it's not needed - just for the times where you removed the last referrence to a genre, etc.

Excellent, thanks.
