Description Markus Meier 2005-09-29 08:22:29 UTC
SlimServer is unable to play any file with special characters in its name - it
just displays 'Problem: Can't open file for:' on the squeezebox.

For example, in the 'iTunes Music Library.xml' the filename is listed as:

<key>Location</key><string>file://localhost/M:/Music/H%C3%A4ndel/Concerto%20Grosso%20No.
%201%20in%20G%20major,%20op.%206%20(Ton%20Koopman)/H%C3%A4ndel%20-%20Concerto%20Grosso%20No.%201%20-
%20I.%20A%20tempo%20giusto.mp3/</string>

which the SlimServer GUI correctly displays as:

M:\Music\Händel\Concerto Grosso No. 1 in G major, op. 6 (Ton Koopman)\Händel -
Concerto Grosso No. 1 - I. A tempo giusto.mp3

But it cannot open/play the song.

Markus: can you try the 6.2 pre-release version and confirm that this bug is fixed:

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
