Description Daniel Barrett 2005-09-23 13:46:44 UTC
If you update an ID3 tag in an MP3 file in your music library (say, the album
title), and then do a "Rescan Music Library" via the web interface, slimserver
does not pick up the ID3 tag change.

To reproduce:

1. Locate an MP3 file in your music library, say, myfile.mp3.
2. Change the album title tag (TALB)
3. In the slimserver web interface, run the Rescan Music Library operation. Do
NOT select "Clear Library Before Rescan".
4. Wait for the operation to complete.
5. Go to Home / Browse Albums. The album title for myfile.mp3 has not changed.

Workaround: use the checkbox "Clear Library Before Rescan". But this really
seems like overkill!

Do you se any improvement using 6.2 beta? The scanning process has changed
significantly since 6.1.1

Daniel - this has been fixed in 6.2 - in addition, if you just want to rescan a particular album, use Browse
Music Folder, and navigate to the newly added directory.

Please reopen if needed.
