Description Dieter 2005-09-22 23:51:40 UTC
It should be possible to select a name from a list of existing saved playlists
when saving a playlist using the remote. At the moment you must always
completely enter the name even if you simply want to save the songs of the now
playing list to an existing playlist. So it is very complicated at the moment to
simply add some new songs to an existing saved playlist. And there is a
relatively big risk that the name is misspelled and a new playlist is created
instead of saving the songs with an existing name (in particular since at the
moment playlist names are case sensitive).

I'd also love to see this feature. If I may, here's a way I'd like to see this
work:

1) Hold down the 'play' button while viewing "Now Playing" playlist
2) The display now shows a list of existing playlist names and an extra "New..."
entry:
New...
80s
easy_listening
kids_fast

3) If an existing name is selected, the display should show something like:
Yes Overwrite
No, Don't Overwrite
Cancel

4) If "New..." is selected, the display should show what it does now and allow a
new name to be manually entered.

5) If there's already a playlist with the same name as the one just manually
entered, the display should show:
Yes Overwrite
No, Don't Overwrite
Cancel

6) Selecting "No, Don't Overwrite" in either step 3 or 5 simply takes you back
to the previous step.

7) Selecting "Cancel" in either step 3 or 5 takes you back to the "Now Playing"
playlist.

What do you think?
