Description Paul Molodowitch 2005-09-13 17:15:41 UTC
Basically, the title says it all - I never seem to able to complete scanning. I
intially had the problem with the 6.1.1 release: I left it running for well over
a day, and it never finished scanning (my library contains approx. 3400 songs,
and I have a P4 3.2 GHz with 1 GB memory). I tried downloading the latest beta
- the 9/12 nightly - but with no better results: when I woke up this morning, it
hadn't finished scanning, and I was informed that windows had run out of memory,
and had to increase it's page file. (At this point Slim was taking up about
300MB of memory according to Windows Task Manager.)

Hmm... ok, nevermind - I just downloaded the 9/13 nightly, and it seems to have
finished scanning (fairly quickly this time). Woo!

There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
