Description Gerd Boerrigter 2005-09-05 11:51:39 UTC
Since a few days the slimserver crashes suddenly when playing begins. The audio
buffer in Squeezebox2 seems to get filled (the Squeezebox2 plays for a few
seconds), but then the Squeezebox2 shows the "connecting to the slimserver"
screen. The SlimServer crashed a few milliseconds after starting the playing.
In the logfile was this:
Can't locate object method "path" via package "http://ondemand-mp3.dradio.de/
file/dradio/2005/08/29/dkultur_200508290912.mp3" (perhaps you forgot to load
"http://ondemand-mp3.dradio.de/file/dradio/2005/08/29/dkultur_200508290912.mp3"
?) at /usr/local/src/slimserver/trunk/server/Slim/Player/Playlist.pm line 595

I first thought it has something to do with the playing from the internet,
because it also happened with shoutcast, but this morning SlimServer crashed
when starting to play the alarm playlist:
Can't locate object method "path" via package "file:///home/slimserver/
playlists/Dire%20Straits.m3u" (perhaps you forgot to load "file:///home/
slimserver/playlists/Dire%20Straits.m3u"?) at /usr/local/src/slimserver/trunk/
server/Slim/Player/Playlist.pm line 595

This happened on a Linux PC, running Debian testing and Slimserver Rev. 4167.

I have a couple more of those messages of the form "Can't locate object method
"path" ... at /usr/local/src/slimserver/trunk/server/Slim/Player/Playlist.pm
line 595". This crash doesn't happen always and I don't know, how the reproduce
it for sure.

After finding about bug 2077, I found about bug 2047.
I should learn how to use the search correctly. Sorry, this is also a duplicate.
