Description Jack Coates 2005-09-04 12:34:44 UTC
SB2 and SB, Slimserver 6.1.1, Internet Radio stations get out of sync by a lot
over time. Perhaps a checkpoint is in order? -d_sync and -d_stream don't show
anything interesting happening.
Comment 1 KDF 2005-09-04 14:43:33 UTC
likely depends on some new internal sync clock, as there is no new 'track start'
to resync with long playing 'net streams
Comment 2 Jack Coates 2005-09-06 15:46:13 UTC
agreed, and the period should be pretty short. No longer than 1 minute, as I've
noticed it getting out of sync in that short of a time period in extreme cases.

Ignorant guess, but there seem to be other clocks running, though these could be
in plugin-land only (rss, rescan). If a "stream-resync" command were available,
these could be done off of one of those, maybe even as a plugin.

See http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34535 for an approach that I am working on to this issue.

I've just checked in a large patch to the SlimServer 7 sync code, thanks to Alan Young. Please retest this issue.

I'm going to mark this 'fixed' by Alan's set of changes. If anyone is still experiencing this issue with the latest 7.0 beta, please let me know!
