Description Christopher Colby 2005-09-02 13:09:39 UTC
Consider using symlinks for cross referencing. For example...

/classical/composers/bach/keyboard/wtc/gould
/classical/performers/piano/gould/bach/wtc    (symlink to above)

...the first path is the actual directory of Glenn Gould playing Bach's
Well-Tempered Clavier, and the second path is a symlink to it. In 5.x, when I
browse the second path, it looks like this:

classical -> performers -> piano -> gould -> bach -> wtc

In 6.x, it chases the symlink and displays the name on the other end, so I get this:

classical -> performers -> piano -> gould -> bach -> gould

Will look at this after 6.2. Thanks.

We need to do this in order to follow the symlink properly.

Some customer feedback.... I have a large library organized around this working properly in slimserver 5.x. I've been waiting for this to be fixed. But now I'm not sure I'll continue to use slimserver.
