The check boxes in the rescan server setting are a bit confusing, since there are three mutually 
exclusive settings.  There should be a popup menu instead:

Rescan Music Library

Click Rescan to have SlimServer scan through your music library for new music or update songs that 
have changed. 

[  Look for new and changed music ]
[  Clear library and rescan everything ]
[  Only rescan playlists ]
