Description narya 2005-08-29 21:55:40 UTC
I just installed SlimServer Version: 6.1.1 (3774 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252, using my iTunes XML file
as source) on top of my "old and trusted" 04/12 nightly and again I see duplicate genre entries when
accented characters are involved.

First I thought it might be bug #1346 showing up again, but this seems to be a different story.

Now the genres containing accented characters are devided up between my mp3 and my aac songs. So
all mp3 songs with genre "Klsch" will end up in one instance of this genre, all aac songs with the same
genre (I doublechecked spelling) will get their own entry of "Klsch" in the genre list. The same happens
with all other genres containing any special characters.

The very same happens in the "Browse by artist" list, where all artists containing special characters will
be devided into mp3 and aac songs as well.

Any clues?

Thanks,
Alexander.

Please use the 6.2 nightlies.

Thanks, Dan! Of course I should have tried the latest nightly before raising this bug. Sorry for the
unnecessary trouble.

Alexander.
