Description Cristov Russell 2004-02-29 14:13:13 UTC
I'm unable to add files to the playlist or get any response from the right
pane of SlimServer. Posts in the archive indicate that others are experiencing
this as well. I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling the latest nightly
build but that did not help. The original install of the current official
build worked fine until rebooting the PC. Thanks.

Cristov, what web browser are you using? I have experienced this same problem
using Mozilla Firefox 0.8, but with no other browser (including older versions
of Mozilla browsers). I know that Firefox 0.8 has some odd page-caching issues,
so I imagine that this is the cause.

This is actually in the application and with a web interface. I'm using Avant
Browser 9.01 Build 113 which uses the IE engine. I've also read on the mailing
list that it may be an issue with the skin or a corrupted playlist. I tried
changing skins and this dosen't resolve the issue. I still get a message in
the right pane saying the player could not be found but I'm not using a
Squeezebox.

At one point it started working on it's own and I thought the problem was a
corrupted playlist but after again deleting all the playlists, it still does
not work.

OK, sounds different from what I'm experiencing. I'll butt out now ;).

Ah, you said that the right pane said that your player was not found. If there's no player, then there's
no playlist to modify. Can you tell me more about what you see here and if the player is actually
working with the remote?

Dean - What player does it want? I don't have a Squeezebox so I don't
understand what it's trying to tell me.

If you don't have a squeezebox or SLIMP3, you'll need to connect to the server with your MP3 player
software. Then you should be able to queue up music easily.

Dean - That fixed it. Thanks!
