Description Martin Rehfeld 2005-08-21 10:46:24 UTC
When power fails on my Squeezebox2 while it it powered on, upon power restore
the boot sequenze "hangs" at the "Connecting to Server..." screen. I have to
manually press the power button on the remote to turn it off and back on, it
then works normally.

Whereas if the power fails and is restored while the Squeezebox2 was in
power-off mode, it correctly boots up to the i.e. date/time screensaver.

I can't reproduce this problem here. Can you post the list of settings you have under View Current
Settings?

Dean, could this be the reconnect refresh problem that you recently reported to
the dev list?

Martin, if you would like to try the Sept 2 nightly build of 6.2, it might solve
this issue.

YES! Good call. Martin: please try out the latest nightly and see if that addresses the issue. What was
going on was that the player was connected to the server, but its screen wasn't updated. If you had
tried to use the player via the remote or web interface it would have worked...

Thanks a million. Though I will wait until 6.2 is officially released, I trust
you it fixes the problem.
