Description Martin Rehfeld 2005-08-16 09:49:21 UTC
After starting Softsqueeze from the 6.1.1 server package (Softsqueeze 2.0b9) my
server has continously 100% CPU usage. TOP shows the CPU is taken by user
processes but cannot identify what process is actually taking the CPU. IFCONFIG
shows a lot of traffic on the loopback network interface (~10 MB / minute).
After closing Softsqueeze the systems goes back to normal.

These ill effects do not exist with the 6.0.2 server package (Softsqueeze 2.0b6).

Richard: is this a common problem? Should we be targeting it for 6.2?
Comment 2 Blackketter Dean 2005-09-07 15:44:37 UTC
Richard, what do you think?
Comment 3 Richard Titmuss 2005-10-22 14:32:34 UTC
This is the only case of this problem reported. To help fix this can you please
post the output from the slimserver log with 'slimproto' debug enabled.
Comment 4 Martin Rehfeld 2005-10-26 03:18:39 UTC
I just tried to reproduce the bug - by now having updated to SlimServer 6.2 with
Softqueeze 2.0, JRE 1.5.0_05 and probably some other system components. To make
it short: the problem is gone! So as nobody else seems to have or have had this
problem, I close the bug...

THX anyway,
Martin
