I tried to use a customized "Various Artist" identifier but that did not work at
all. The albums are always listed unter "Various Artists".

Can you try this with the latest nightly?

This is working just fine for me.

Currently a wipe & rescan is needed when you change the name.

This works now for me with the August 12 nightly. Maybe I couldn't test it since
a wipe and rescan with the previous versions did delete the "Various Artist"
section (and so I had no possibilty to see the customized identifier) which was
resolved with the August 12 nightly.
