Description Ben Sandee 2005-08-08 11:39:35 UTC
I`ve got two albums named "Let It Be" -- one by The Beatles and one by The
Replacements. These are now jumbled together under a single Let It Be album
under Various Artists. I want the VA behavior, just not for these albums of
course. Can the VA behavior be modified to be smart enough to ensure that the
VA track candidates are actually in the same folder on the filesystem?

Adding 'Let It Be' to the 'Common Album Titles' pref (under Behavior I believe) should fix this.
Comment 2 Ben Sandee 2005-08-08 11:51:19 UTC
OK, I can see that might be a way to do it -- it's rescanning now.

Why wasn't this behavior triggered in the past then before the VA updates? Does
that concern you or is the new behavior completely expected?

Thanks!

Yes - a little. :)

I need to see how the logic interacts.
Comment 4 Ben Sandee 2005-08-08 12:48:38 UTC
well it does work, adding "Let It Be" to the common titles list....

Looking at the code - this is the correct solution.
