Description Craig Shifflett 2005-08-02 07:28:36 UTC
I was following Bug #1857 but it is now closed and the changes made to the
software have not cleared my problem. I have this problem with 6.1.1, the 6.1.2
08-01 nightly release and the 6.2 beta release.

From the home page, the status line says there are over 17,000 tracks when there
are truly close to 10,000. The tracks that are duplicated are all in the main
directory (D:\Music Server). The tracks that are in a subdirectory of this one
do not show as duplicates on any albums. (well, most I have not looked at every
album). I may attempt to resolve this by moving the files from the main
directory to a new sub and see if it continues. Some tracks even show three
times on some albums.

I am using XP SP2. I use Foxfire web browser. I have the original Squeezebox,
not SB2. I do not use iTunes.

Thank you.

Moving the files did the trick. I am now using the 6.1.2 08-02 release. I am
showing 9904 files which is correct.

If you want me to, I could return them to the original directory and rescan to
see if I can make the dupes return.

BTW, I am using flac format if that matters.
