Description Dominic Gerbo 2005-07-28 11:22:55 UTC
Squeezebox won't play rest of directory if new track is selected while another
track is playing. If you are playing a song in a directory (e.g.
\Artist1\Album1\Song1of10), and you have 'Play Directory/Album' (can't remember
the server setting just now) setting enabled, if you then use 'Browse Music
Folders' and play a different track in a different directory notice that only
the initial song will be played. This, I think, is different behavior then a
few builds back where the whole playlist would switch to the current track's
directory.

Steps:
~ Make sure your server setting has the 'Play Directory/Album' (can't remember
what it's called) enabled so that if a track is selected to play, the entire
directory will be played once the song is over
~ On squeezebox1, use 'Browse Music Folder' to navigate to a directory (where
the directory structure is Artist\Album)
~ Select a track in the directory and press Remote's 'Play' button.
* Notice that track is playing and that the 'Now Playing' display shows correct
number of tracks (e.g. '1 of 10')
~ Use 'Browse Music Folder' to navigate to a different directory
~ Select a track in the directory and press Remote's 'Play' button.
* Notice that, correctly, the selected track begins to play. Also notice that
the 'Now Playing' display only shows '1 of 1' tracks in the playlist. This
should display entire directory's track count.
~ Let song play through.
* Notice that after track ends that no other track is played.
~ Repeat above steps but instead of selecting a different track, select an album
directory and press 'Play'.
* Notice that the first track inside the directory will play (correct behavior)
but that no other track will play and that the 'Now Playing' display only shows
'1 of 1' tracks in the playlist.

SlimServer version 6.1.1 running on Win2K
Squeezebox1 (don't know the firmware - 40?)

This was disabled due to bug 1825. marking as a dupe since it is essentially
the same problem. currently, play all tracks from album is for browse DB items
only, where the album title has some bearing on teh seleciton (ie Browse Album,
New Music, Browse Artwork, and their lower levels). It is also a remote control
only feature.
