Description David Shimell 2005-07-23 02:39:29 UTC
Not sure if this is a bug, but this version of the slimserver interface shows
IE buttons, URL web entry box, and other stuff. Clicking on a URL in another
application annoyingly, uses the slimserver interface's browser to go to that
URL, rather than launching a new IE.

I don't recall this being the case in 6.0.2, where the use of a browser was
less obvious.

6.1 uses IE now. 6.0.2 used a crippled activex control based on a very old
version of IE.

To avoid having the SlimServer window used when you click a URL, go to Internet
Options, Advanced tab and uncheck 'Reuse windows for launching shortcuts'.

Seems to work fine. May I suggest this should go into the FAQ or other
documentation. (If it is not there already.)

Thanks - you can close if you wish.
