Bugzilla – Bug 18147
Modify Slacker plugin (or other) to support 320 kbps audio streams
Last modified: 2016-04-21 15:58:05 UTC
Slacker now provides 320 kbps streams for paid subscribers. The Logitech suite of support for Slacker provides support only for the old 128 kbps streams regardless of account level. Please add support for the MUCH higher fidelity 320 kbps streams.
Just added this an hour or two ago :-). If you're a Plus or Premium user, you'll automatically get the best quality possible. If you want LMS to report the correct bitrate, you'll have to update to the latest build. http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/
Would that be a 7.9 or 10.0 version? I'm running the server on a Netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 6. Thanks for continuing to build versions for it!
Or a 7.7.? build?

Pick 7.7.6, 7.8.1 or 7.9.0 depending on what you're running now. Or where you want to go. 7.9 is the best LMS ever - if you use its new features :-). Changelogs are linked from the download page.
MANY thanks!!! If we ever meet I'll buy you a beer and a hotdog! I'll read the changelogs and decide which version looks best for me. Since you just committed the change, do I need to wait for a nightly build or is your enhancement already in the builds available for downlink? Thanks again!
7.9 is ready, for the others you'll have to wait until tomorrow morning. But as I said: that's only required to get the correct bitrate in the web UI. The sound is already best quality available (Slacker doesn't have the full catalog in 320kbps yet).
Understood!
