Description Felix Hack 2015-12-25 07:46:48 UTC
The FLAC (VORBIS) tagging standard encourages the use of ENSEMBLE (or perhaps ORCHESTRA) tag for music groups such as orchestras and chamber ensembles, instead of BAND. Functionally it should behave identically to BAND, but currently ENSEMBLE does not work as a contributor role in the new 7.9.0 "Additional Browse Modes" feature.

My music library contains ~ 100K music files tagged according to this standard, and I want to browse by ensemble w/o adding an artificial BAND tag on all those files.

One workaround would be to follow the suggestion from https://bugs-archive.lyrion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2697#c2 and map ENSEMBLE/ORCHESTRA to BAND in FLAC.pm.
