I've noticed that since the latest 7.9 nightly the player pulldown menu in the web gui doesn't behave as it should. You're unable to use the pulldown menu, but you're still able to select a different play by clicking on the player name instead of the pull down menu. Google Chrome does work as expected.

Not limited to IE11, but IE9+

jjzolx remembers an old, related issue:

Michael, maybe you could find the changes made circa 9th or 10th of
April, 2010 to help fix this.

Fix a style on the settings link which somehow interacted/overlapped with the player selector. Go figure...
