server log

My bug sounds a lot like 4830, but I am still seeing mine while that one seems to be resolved.

Running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.8.0 - 1394810410 @ Tue Mar 18 03:04:49 CUT 2014

For the past few months, the player has been rebooting itself every time I use it, both while playing songs from my library as well as during Pandora and other streaming service playback.

Enabled server and player logging (logs attached).

This seems to have started a few versions ago but has gotten much more frequent lately. Occasionally it will just go dead and need a power cycle, but mostly it reboots quickly and places me back where I left off.

Please tell me what other information I can provide; this is driving me crazy. Thank you!

Any help with this one would be greatly appreciated. It's been getting worse and worse and now the SB doesn't even come back on half the time.

Would going back to an older LMS version "fix" this?

Entirely possible. I tried upgrading last night to 7.9 to see if that helps. If not, I will experiment with downgrading to see if that makes a difference. Given the nature of the issue it's hard to know if it's an LMS issue or a hardware issue - though I am leaning towards LMS as it never happens when the unit is on standby (showing the clock).

I have now tried 7.9.0, 7.8.0, 7.7.4, and 7.6.2, all of which have the same issue. None of them required me to do an update on the Squeezebox itself, only on the server side.

How can I tell if this is a hardware issue vs. a software issue?

Turns out this was a hardware issue. I swapped out with another SB Classic and the issue went away.
