The tread . I've used LInux Mint 13 Maya

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?101274-DNS-issues-Linux-Mint-and-LMS-7-8-1

You can fix that by adding a resolv.conf file manually or do this .

sudo dpkg-reconfigure resolvconf

This is some kind of legacy mode for ther DNS resolving the machine works perfectly fine without it .

AnyEvent/DNS.pm do need it

EV: error in callback (ignoring): pack_sockaddr: invalid host at /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/lib/AnyEvent/DNS.pm line 1114

The server log are in the forum tread .

Hmm... googling the error you posted I mostly find references to our forums...

Are you saying that after installing resolv.conf your system works as expected? No more errors?
Comment 2 Mikael Nyberg 2014-04-01 05:08:05 UTC
Yes it works as expected .
No more problems . It finds radio menu and apps and installs plugins actually upgraded fw for my radio...

Other users with same problem have applied this fix or simply just made their own resolv.conf file pointing to their DNS .

And I think when you fixed that other DNS issue and LMS actually retries it's DNS resolving we are going to see more of this , my log was filled with the same error .
With older versions of LMS you may see this once ?

There are some other apps that uses AnyEvent::DNS.pm :) but it's mostly us google finds .

The solution found from the Linux mint forum was actually some other app using this.

Our version of AnyEvent::DNS.pm is 4 years old ? Can this be fixed with a never version .
Jut have to figure how to undo my system change to test ?
