Description hagan 2014-02-21 13:20:02 UTC
While it is still possible to add the search entries (search for albums/artists/interprets) to the customized home menu for a SB classic or boom, they don't work anymore. After entering the search text and pressing the right arrow to start the search nothing happens.
Instead two lines are written to the server.log:

14-02-21 13:56:49.0448] Slim::Buttons::Common::pushMode (2094) Error: Crashing because 'browsedb' has no mode function or a bogus function. Perhaps you mis-typed the mode name.
[14-02-21 13:56:49.0450] Slim::Buttons::Common::pushMode (2102) Error: Couldn't push into new mode: [browsedb] !: Can't use string ("") as a subroutine ref while "strict refs" in use at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.16.2/Slim/Buttons/Common.pm line 2099.

The search is still working through the deep menu entries
Musikbiliothek -> Suche -> Wiedergabenlisten/Alben/Interpreten/

Thanks for the hint. I'm going to remove that menu option for now, as it has been broken for years (7.6 I guess). I don't close this bug yet, as somebody might want to take the plunge to re-implement the feature.
