Description snaevreste 2014-02-05 07:47:58 UTC
Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.4 - 1387532358 @ Wed Feb 5 02:05:00 CUT 2014
OS: Windows 8.1

Setup notes:
 - running LMS as an unpriviliged service user, svc_logitech
 - media library is a guest-visible read-only SMB share at \\theserver\media\music
 - service account user can read media files on the share in an interactive login session
- I ran this setup fine on 7.7.3/XP and 7.7.3/win8.0. I tried to move the LMS to an OSX Mavericks machine with disastrous result, and upon coming back to the windows box (now upgraded to 8), i installed 7.7.4

Issue: Can't get network path configured as a media folder
1. Web interface cannot add network shares: The browse box only shows local drives (physical and iscsi mounts), and when I type "\\" paths or network-mounted drive letters in the field and hit "apply" the field is cleared.
2. Control panel appears to allow the paths to be added, but it does not really work: I can add the path and hit apply, but if I force a rescan, only the local paths are searched, and if i exit and reopen the panel, the paths are gone.

WebUI notes: same failure in both IE 11.0.96 and Mozilla (Waterfox 24); both my admin user and the service account have m: mounted to the SMB share.
