Using LMS 7.8 git code with updates through 20130813 running on Ubuntu server 12.04.2 LTS, perl 5.14.2:

Given a VA flac with an embedded cuesheet, depending on how one browses to the content, it's sometimes impossible to play all tracks.

Example FLAC:  http://www.hegardtfoundation.org/slimstuff/Missa%20Pro%20defunctis,%201605%20-%20Tenebrae,%20Nigel%20Short.flac

So, using the above flac, if one browses:

Genres->b_Renaissance->Various Artists->Missa Pro defunctis, 1605 - Tenebrae, Nigel Short

..one can click the top 'play' button and the entire album plays without fault.

HOWEVER --

If one browses:

Genres->b_Renaissance->Victoria, T->Missa Pro defunctis, 1605 - Tenebrae, Nigel Short->any track listed->Album

..that ends up showing all the tracks in the album by all artists in the left hand WebUI pane. But an attempt to play the entire album results in a mal-formed playlist with several unplayable tracks.

Note: in order to complete the 2nd browse example, you may have to enable Settings->My Music->Composer, Band and Orchestra in Artists: Composer.

Is this still an issue with 7.9? I've merged a larger change to the CUE sheet handling. Please give tomorrow's build another try. Thanks!

OK, I've updated my 7.9 local git repo to commit 9ac06210fbb3477a5be2fce5a6f5f0095677b76f (Feb 5, 2015, Changelog update) and done a wipe and rescan of my library.

It seems like my original complaint, unplayable tracks ending up in the playlist, has been fixed by your updates.

However, when I browse via Genre->Artist->Some_VA_Album, what should I *expect* to see? I thought the old squeezecenter behavior was to just display the tracks by the requested *track* artist, not all the tracks by all artists on the album if one happens to browse into the album via the ALBUMARTIST.

I've reposted the example FLAC to the URL in the original bug report so you can add it to your test library and see what I'm talking about.

There are two artists on that album:

Lobo, A (track artist for tracks 13-32)

Victora, T (album artist & track artist for tracks 1-12)

When browsing:

Genre b_Renaissance->Lobo, A->Missa Pro defunctis, 1605 - Tenebrae, Nigel Short

..I see just the Lobo tracks, as expected.

When browsing via b_Renaissance->Victoria, T->Missa Pro defunctis, 1605 - Tenebrae, Nigel Short

..I see *all* the tracks, including the Lobo tracks.

If this is by design, because as album artist, Victora is assumed to have some ownership of all the tracks in the album, I can live with that.

But I have to say that I prefer the old squeezecenter behavior of just displaying the track artists.
