Description Christophe Rhodes 2012-07-12 09:13:45 UTC
I have a number of collections of CDs with sequentially-numbered titles, e.g.:

Cantatas, Volume 1 (Bach Collegium Japan)
Cantatas, Volume 2 (Bach Collegium Japan)
...
Cantatas, Volume 10 (Bach Collegium Japan)
Cantatas, Volume 11 (Bach Collegium Japan)
...

In an ideal world, this would also be the order in which they would appear in player listings, or even as database output. However, they instead display
as

Cantatas, Volume 1 (Bach Collegium Japan)
Cantatas, Volume 10 (Bach Collegium Japan)
Cantatas, Volume 11 (Bach Collegium Japan)
...
Cantatas, Volume 2 (Bach Collegium Japan)
...

It would make me happy if the ordering in this case were the natural one, rather than one from simple character-by-character collation.
