After latest firmware update to v7.7.2-r9663 sound effects (Crickets, Rain, etc.) will not play and will display one of the following errors:

Connection reset by remote host
Connection reset by local host

Sound effects will play if the radio is connected to the Logitech Media Server running on my Windows 7 PC. If the LMS is stopped the currently playing sound effect will continue to play but will fail if the sound effect is changed while the LMS is stopped.
