When turning off transcoding to Flac for Aiff in LMS, Aiff plays as static on Touch. If flac transcoding is enabled, Aiff file plays fine.

Which server version?

For me, running LMS 7.7.2 r33766, 16 bit, 44.1 kHz AIFF plays fine natively on both the Touch and on Transporter.

Are you trying to play files of a different bit depth or sample rate? Bug 17163 addresses the same problem specifically for 24 bit, 96 kHz AIFF.

24/96 on 7.7.1.
