Bugzilla – Bug 17845
LMS packages for QNAP NAS
Last modified: 2013-05-01 08:43:03 UTC
QNAP is one of the most recognizable SOHO NAS box makers and has QPKG Plugins package system that is a convenient way for users to add new programs to their QNAP NAS. I own a QNAP TS-119P II NAS and I run LMS 7.7.1 on it, but when new version is released QNAP users have to wait till community makes renewed package. It would be really nice if Logitech would add QNAP ready packages to their list so that QNAP users get updates sooner.

I agree that Logitech should make versions for QNAP. If it is a matter of hardware I am sure that QNAP would be willing to supply an Intel and Marvel model to the cause.
Logitech should provide a version for QNAP.
Concur. Logitech should provide a version for QNAP.
Yes! I lived with the synology community dependance for too long. Now that I'm testing the QNAP offerings they smell of sweet possibility. LMS for qpkg!
QNAP continues to be a progressive and inceasingly popular NAS vendor. This would be a a great opportunity for Logitech and QNAP to promote and compliment each others offerings.
As an avid Squeezebox user for over 6 years on various QNAP models (current TS-239) I think it would be a grear idea if Logitech starting releasing a QNAP version of the current LMS package. Friends of mine who are non-techie are put off by the installation process & are fast turning to the more easier Sonus system.
There is a mutual benefit to be gained through proper support of the QNAP by Logitech in regards to LMS. Particularly in a higher end of the market where consumers are willing to spend the money on devices that do the required job properly. In particular the build quality of the QNAP matches that of the squeezebox solutions and both are well suited to users integrating digital multimedia into their AV solutions.
Logitech should provide a version for QNAP NAS Intel processors
Yes please :-)
Yes please. I have been using Squeezebox radio for a while and also qnap NAS unit. Would be terrific!
I agree - an official QPKG Plugin would be appreciated! Paul
