Description Laurier 2011-12-19 13:46:16 UTC
Version 7.7.0 and 7.7.1 have had the same problem from day one in that my 1.5TB library containing about 2700+ CDs all ripped in AIFF format stops after only a few tracks or CDs has been scanned.

Yes, the scanner log has been sent to engineering quite awhile ago but no reply.

The SAME configuration under 7.6.1 scans properly but it also has the issue where the MAC address sometimes gets confused and simply turning off the Transporter with the remote and then back on fixes the problem!!!

My 2TB Seagate Baracuda connected via FireWire 800 to a Mac Mini has the following directory structure:

Volume iMusicBank / MyMusic / iTunes / iTunes Classical or iTunes Jazz or iTunes Rock.

I tried using 7.7.0 and 7.7.1 to just specify the iTunes Classical directory rather than the iTunes directory but it crashed as well.

REQUEST: Rather than have the individual users diagnose via hours and hours of debug, could engineering PLEASE have before an install is performed, do a check that the library scanner works!!!
