Description Kevin Pearsall 2004-02-02 10:49:43 UTC
For more information see here: http://www.saunalahti.fi/~cse/mpc/

It's a lossy audio codec. Seems to be popular on the hydrogen audio forums... To date, I've only
had one customer send a query regarding it, though.

on a whim, I decided to try this out. Its most of the way there. mppdec,
however, is VERY badly behaved. If the plyback is stopped midway, or if server
is closed mid-way, the mppdec process will not close and will continue barking
annoying error messages at the user. any ideas appreciated.

windows and linux binaries can be made from unofficial patched source code.
Modules are available to add support to server. Is only awaiting word that the
binaries are GPL, and can be included with the server.

done. binaries for win and linux included. OSX still needs someone to compile
Erik Reckase's patched source code. I have an archive of the source as well if
anyone wishes to give it a shot.
