This is with Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.1 - r33697 @ Sun Nov 13 03:04:50 PST 2011.

The authentication issue described in bug 17726 seems to be fixed in the sense that when I try to open the Control Panel and I enter my credentials, I don't get the endless loop of prompts. But instead absolutely nothing happens. I.e., I enter my credentials, and hit OK, and the Logitech Media Server background image disappears and nothing opens. I've tried restarting, and this happens every time.

Fixed Bug: 17762
Description: we can't request strings through JSON/RPC before the authentication has succeeded. Pull the string from the strings.txt file instead.
