Bugzilla – Bug 17713
MySqueezebox.com uses obsolete timezone database
Last modified: 2011-11-01 06:03:37 UTC
Russia abandoned daylight saving time as of spring, 2011 and changed MSK timezone to be GMT+4 (it used to be GMT+3 normally, with GMT+4 with the DST applied). The old timezone database implies that Moscow time switches back to GMT+3 since Oct, 30th this year, so the UTC offset suggested by mysqueezebox.com to user devices is no longer correct -- essentially this means that for everyone in central Russia, squeezebox clock will be one hour off. The workaround is to switch to Tbilisi timezone (which is also GMT+4 with no DST used), but this is confusing to many. Updating timezone database used by MySqueezebox.com to the latest Olson DB should fix the problem.
The latest timezone database will be going out within a day or so.
