Description c.noack 2011-10-20 02:48:42 UTC
When trying to install the LMS package (did try to install up to version RC6) on a ReadyNAS Pro via frontview the installation ends with an "install error":

SYSTEM.LOG:
Oct 12 18:51:18 READYNASPro RAIDiator: ERROR: Logitech Media Server 7.7.0~33614-i386-readynas installation failed

I also factory resetted the ReadyNAS Pro so that the ReadyNAS Pro installed from scratch as if it was just taken from the shelves at the store. But even after this procedure the installation of LMS RC6 ends up with the above mentioned error.

One additional info: On the ReadyNAS PRO firmware is being used 4.2.19 (the latest official version today)

Verified the error. Installed SSH module to 172.19.52.50 please log in to diagnose.
Comment 5 James Richardson 2011-10-26 15:08:57 UTC
Well, even though I get the error message, the install was successful and I'm able to finish the setup and connect players.

c.noack can you verify if your install is working as well? Are you able to launch / finish setup and connect players to your Readynas?
Comment 6 c.noack 2011-10-27 00:06:48 UTC
Yes you're right: After install and following reboot of the ReadyNAS Pro LMS seems to be running as usual and i can connect my players and open the web interface.
