Server 7.7 rc5

In albums, artist, "new music", you have a context menu that gives you play next add and such functions .

This very rarely function in the new music menu . and it works sometimes in albums it migth work in artist , it sort of depends (on what I have not figured )

You hold on an album in "new music" it gets a teal colored bar under it now the context menu shall appear while the teal colored bar flashes, the only thing you get is a flashing bar when letting go of the album you are holding on .

Pop up is least likely to work in new music and most likely to work in artist/albums .

Bizarrely enough it is more likely to work in freshly started "controller app". I have a hard time pinpointing what it depends on sometimes it works better .

The server log tells me nothing and I don't know how to find logs on my iPad ?

Please enable debugging for network.jsonrpc to get more information about the communication with the app. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to get logs from the app itself.

Tried now with json logging .

very verbose, all kinds of other stuff going on .

Observation it gets worse over time .

Do a complete rescan, start up the controller app afterwards .

The first minute or tw you get the context menu, then it starts to go away sometimes trying twice can get you the menu .

As before "new music" is the first to malfunction , try there within 30 secs to get any pop up.

Observation sometimes in new music the bar flashes 5 or 6 rows up in the list, under the wrong track, thats new.

Also my new music list is 400 albums and playlist max length is 4000 tracks fyi.

Over time after a rescan? After the start of the app?

Both ?
it only worked for a short while after a fresh rescan, then you boot up the app use it for 0,5-2 minutes, then the functionality rapidly deteriorates .
it has a very short halflife :)

No order of app restarts or server reboots fixes it .

The residual functionality is that you can have pop-up menu inside an artist folder on the albums .

No pop-up on an artist itself

Sorry for the spam the "mew music" folder finally make more sense after an experiment.

here is a behavior that migth be possible to reproduce and debug.

*Add and scan one new album to LMS go inte "new music" on the "controller app" now it works as it should.

*Back out to the home menu, now go back into the "new music" menu again, now it has stopped working.

*Add another album and scan.

repeat.

You can only visit the new music menu once ever after a scan.

For the rest of the menu's i found no such straightforward way to reproduce.
