Description Mikael Nyberg 2011-10-07 04:44:55 UTC
I tried to use BMF to discover a new album in a folder , we are used to do that instead of scan for new and changed ,it is normaly faster for just a single album.

As soon as i descended in the folder where the new folder (with the new album) was, LMS locked up with 100% cpu all players lost connection for 2-3 minutes .

I had not yet descended in to the folder with the new tracks .

When the server recovered I had to < out of that folder and in > to it again and then I descended in to the new folder and then it appeared under "new music" after that .

before I did the above I had a endless spinny on the controller and no new album.

This is a very small folder with only 6 or 7 sub-folders (one of those had the new album) so no risk of overloading LMS that way .

My logs contained nothing just the scan of the new album who was normal, 3 seconds or so ?

Any suggestions if increased logging to use I might add more albums this weekend, as the crash seemed harmless I can do it again.

Please provide some log with scan.scanner=debug.

Working fine here. Can you reproduce this with any folder?
Comment 2 Mikael Nyberg 2011-10-07 05:14:46 UTC
I think the criteria is that the folder must contain a subfolder with unscanned content .

So all my other folders works fine .

I just bought another album from bandcamp (Halcyon Pastures EP )

Will adjust tags and try again shortly with the sugested debug setting
