Recently due to a cubicle move in my office I relocated further from the wireless access point. As a result I switched several radios from wireless to wired connection. I began to experience severe connection problems with all the devices that were connected to same switch. With the aid of our local network support specialist. It was determined that one of the players was identified on the network twice. This appeared as a duplicate MAC address. The connection to the player was "flopping" from one copy of the MAC to the other. By removing the wired connection of that radio the connectivity of other devices on the switch resumed. It was then determined that the player was still identified on the network but attached via the wifi access point even though the device settings were set to Ethernet.
Some how when reconfigured to to a wired connection the wifi remained connected in the background. Reconnecting the cable the connection problems for the other players resumed.
A factory reset was performed on the player which was then connected to a wired connection and everything was operational and the MAC only appeared on the network once.
