/var/lib/dpkg/info/squeezeboxserver.postinst  row 33 and 41:

chown $VERBOSE squeezeboxserver:nogroup /var/cache/squeezeboxserver -R

The directory /var/cache/squeezeboxserver doesn't exist in the package, the right directory is /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/

@ Michele Conte:  Have you tested 7.7.1 yet to see if your issue is resolved?  If so can you post here if it worked for you
