The install didn't seem to try to stop the server like previous installs. Attachment error1 is what I got when tried to run installer normally.

I then canceled installer, it rolled back, I then stopped the server, and then reran the installer. It then gave me what you see if attachment error2.

I then cancelled installer, it rolled back, I then exited the server (right click tray icon and choose exit), and then rerun installed. It worked fine then.

FYI this happened when tried to install build 512 over build 469.

I ran installer twice again with build 512 installed. I noticed installer does say its shutting down server. I might have missed that before. Problem may be that installer then does not wait for server to shutdown and exit. It just immediately continues the installation. Installer ran without problem this time though. I just had the problem installing over build 469.

How did you configure your LMS to run? Service or app mode? Checking the task manager, what's the server's file name shown (something like squeeze~9.exe)?

It is set up to run on login. Is that app mode? If not, how do I tell?

I just started my computer now (have it off during day) and file name was "SQEEZ~1.EXE *32 I believe. I opened control panel and it said server was running but there was nothing under Information. I restarted computer and now information displays all info correct. The file name after restart is: "SQEEZ~3.EXE *32.

As an aside: I've been having to restart my computer 50-75% of the time when I get home from work to get music to play as it doesn't work properly on first start-up after work. Once restarted it never has a problem after. Symptoms are control panel says server is running but nothing in Information (well there is a message always displayed there but I forget what it is). I try to stop server from tray icon and it gives some message that it can't. This happened when I started to use 7.7.0 beta. It never happened on 7.6 beta or earlier. Should I open a separate bug for this?
