Description Michael Herger 2011-09-16 04:04:20 UTC
Running the scanner against a few thousand pictures leads to memory consumption in the several hundred megabytes, increasing slowly.

My linux box currently is at about 8000 pictures, using >600MB. I saw similar behaviour on OSX too.

I expect many users to have thousands of photos, rather more than music files. Because taking pictures is free, while sorting them out is painful :-).

I didn't see similar behaviour with music only scans.

Yeah I see the same thing with lots of images.

Nice - after 16k music tracks and about 1k images the scanner is still at around 70MB.
