Bugzilla – Bug 17550
squeezebox server continues to open system preferences
Last modified: 2011-09-07 09:52:27 UTC
2 or 3 times a day my system preferences dialog box opens for no reason, with squeezebox server asking to reopen the sys prefs again - see attachment. I'm aware that I need to reopen the sys prefs when I want to access the SB server due to OSX v10.6, but this just happens continually without me wanting to access SB server. I've clean installed SB server several times but only alleviates problem for a week or so and I spend an hour or 2 setting everything up (recognizing SB, faves, my apps etc) Tech support says there's nothing they can do, that it's a bug. Well it's a pretty damn big bug! Every time I upgrade SB server something goes wrong and I always spend too much time resetting my whole SB environment. PLEASE FIX SOON - MY PAST FAVOURABLE OPINION OF YOUR CO IS FADING. Thanks, Greg.

What server version are you running? This should only happen if there was an update available for installation.
Please disable auto-updating in your SBS, remove the update files from the cache and restart your SBS. That's by design: support wants you to use the latest build. Thus they asked us to bug the user badly to tell him to install the latest version. I'm sorry about the hassle. Or give the latest build a try.
