Description doubleugk 2011-09-07 01:44:42 UTC
When the automated scanner process starts it interrupts the playback for a moment. I don't think that this is a question of computing resources. The server is installed on notebook with Intel Core2Duo CPU L7500 @ 1.60 GHz with 5 GB RAM. The library resides on a Synology NAS DS410j. Gigabyte Network. Notebook connects via 100 MBit/s LAN. The files are 90% FLAC encoded and in total 11,000.

What do you consider the automated scanner? Automatic rescanning has been disabled on Windows. Did you re-enable it?

With automated scanner process I mean the periodically scanning that is performed every hour or two. I've not changed anything. This process is running ever since I've installed 7.6.x

I have another incident, that SBS scan process impacts active playback. Since SBS 7.6.1 is available for my NAS Synology DS410j I've installed it and I'm testing it. I've added the German articles to the field "Articles To Ignore When Sorting" in the "My Music" tab and a scan was triggered. The playback suddenly stopped and I was not able to continue it.
